Saturday Haiku ~ 11-07-26

Cathedral of trees,
Sends lattice-like-lace shadows
Dancing on the path.

  1. I love your haiku, and the photo shows just what it’s about. You have great observational skills and a poet’s heart to think of the trees like a cathedral! It looks like a beautiful place for a walk. Which dog is with you?

    1. Hi Kathy, aah, thank you kindly for your encouragement! Both Amber and Honey were with us. It’s probably Amber in the photo, as she tends to trot along closer to us. Honey darts off into the wild of the woods like an intrepid explorer! We’re currently having a heatwave in England. But we’re very fortunate to have so many lovely green and shady spaces in South London. You just have to know where to find them.

      1. We’ve heard about your heat wave! glad you have some green shady places to walk. Heading off to explore sounds like a young dog! I bet she doesn’t go too far though, they always seem to know just when to head back and catch up! I hope it cools off soon!

    1. Hi Priscilla, Thank you so much! Every now and then I enjoy writing a haiku – I find it can be quite helpful to work within a framework every once in a while. I’d love to hear your Pancake Haiku. Sounds very fun!
