So what have I been up to so far in 2025?
The year began rather unconventionally, with Amber, our Fox Red Labrador having a litter of seven puppies! And things seem to have remained pretty hectic ever since! You can read all about these cute little fur-balls here: https://angelajelf.com/2025/01/02/seven-little-labradors/

Even though my blogging has been pretty sporadic, I’ve been working on lots of bits and pieces in the background.
And…exciting things are going on behind the scenes!
Keep it Under Your Hat!
It’s all a bit secret squirrels at the moment, but there is a Picture Book in the pipe-line! It was inspired by a verse of Scripture, found in Psalm 36:5:
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds…
The story is essentially a conversation between a father and child, all about the length and breadth and height of God’s love. I don’t want to give away too many spoilers here, but the story begins with the child asking a question:
Does God really love me, I wanted to know,
How big is His love and how far does it go?
The story (and the conversation) unfolds with a trip to the beach where the child learns that some things are just too vast to measure!

A wonderful friend has agreed to illustrate the Picture Book for me, which I’m totally thrilled about – and my amazing friends at Broad Place Publishing have agreed to publish it – so do watch this space and look out for updates – it’s going to be a very special book!
Other Picture Books
I’ve also begun drafting a series of picture books which retell some of the amazing, miraculous stories we find in the bible. My hope is that kids won’t just come away knowing the events of the story, but knowing Jesus even more!
Chapter Books

For a few years now, I’ve had a heart to write a chapter book for ‘tween’ girls (those who are aged between 8-13).
The tween years are such a tumultuous time of transition and change, and so I wanted to create a loveable, relatable character who can both inspire, and entertain…and hopefully gently point them towards a faithful Heavenly Father, who never changes!
So, let me introduce you to Beatrice Wilde!
- She’s a bookworm
- She’s a blunder-bus
- She’s a little bit shy
- And her BFF has just moved to Cornwall!
How on earth will she survive a week at bible camp with:
- A bossy room buddy
- A blushing problem
- And a first crush?
Please pray that I FINALLY get this book finished so that maybe you can get to find out!
Thank you so much for reading this post – I so appreciate each and every person that follows my writing journey! Your ongoing support really means the world to me!
Bye for now!
