Summers end,
Gone in a blaze of glory,
As though the trees soaked up the last of the sun,
Then, full-to-bursting
Came twirling down,
Lining the streets with ribbons of gold
What a breathtaking sight to behold!
Season's change,
In a never-ending-age-old story,
Reminding us all that
God knows what's best
Adorning the holly hedge
With a graceful ochre crown,
And beautifying the streets around this old familiar town.
Crimson, vermillion
How many?
A million?
Carpeting the forest floor,
With leaves and treasures galore,
How I adore
This Autumn.

Fall is my favorite season also! You’ve captured it so well with your pictures and your poem! Love the pups in the leaves too!

Hi Kathy, it’s such a wonderful time of year, isn’t it?! This year, we are having quite a spectacular show in England, as it’s been a warm, dry summer. It was like a game of ‘Spot the Dog’ in the park the other day! I felt quite inspired as I was walking around admiring the beauty. How about where you are? Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Hope you’re doing well.

It’s been beautiful here this year too–gorgeous blue skies and lots of bright colors against that blue! Everyone has been remarking on it! Our leaves are almost gone in many places now, though!
